Edo State Engages EuroAfricaCCI on Economic Partnership and Foreign Investments

Secretary to the Edo State Government, Mr. Musa Ikhilor, Esq., Meets Ambassador Dr. Kingsley Obasohan, Director General of the European African Chamber of Commerce and Industries (EuroAfricaCCI), for High-Level Investment Talks in Benin City

The Secretary to the Edo State Government, Mr. Musa Ikhilor, Esq., recently held a strategic investment meeting with His Excellency, Ambassador Dr. Kingsley Obasohan, Director General of the European African Chamber of Commerce and Industries (EuroAfricaCCI), in Benin City, Edo State.

The high-profile engagement centered on expanding international investment opportunities and strengthening economic cooperation between the Edo State Government and the European private sector. Discussions focused on forging partnerships that can support the state’s rapid growth trajectory by attracting key European investors into priority sectors such as:

  • Agriculture and agribusiness value chains
  • Manufacturing and industrial development
  • Technology innovation and digital economy advancement
  • Infrastructure and real estate development
  • Youth entrepreneurship and employment initiatives

Mr. Ikhilor commended EuroAfricaCCI for its commitment to bridging Europe–Africa trade relations and praised Ambassador Dr. Obasohan’s dedication to empowering development across African communities.

In response, Amb. Dr. Obasohan reaffirmed EuroAfricaCCI’s readiness to collaborate with the government to stimulate foreign direct investment that would create jobs, enhance industrialization, and contribute significantly to Edo State’s socioeconomic transformation.

The meeting underscored a shared vision to harness diaspora engagement and international partnerships as catalysts for sustainable development, while positioning Edo State as a leading investment destination in Nigeria.
